February is heart month and the Village Arcade has joined forces with River Oaks Shopping Center to highlight this with the beneficiary being the American Heart Association. The River Oaks Fashion Show February 29th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm will kick off the Heart Card benefitting the AHA. The first 500 purchasers, who reserve a spot to this preview Fashion Show will enjoy light bites, spirits and an extra evening of discount shoping at select "after party" destinations. The Heart Card will culminate with a Spring Break fashion event and sidewalk sale on March 10 at Village Arcade. Coinciding with the Heart Card, a 30-day public art installation will make a visual statement reminding Houstonians that 24 women die each half hour from cardiovascular disease and stroke in the United States. The 24 red dress silhouettes will be placed throughout the center for Houstonians and visitors to view and also bring awareness that the Village Arcade supports this cause.

Proceeds from the Heart Card will benefit American Heart’s mission of raising awareness for the Number 1 Killer of Women – Heart Disease.
